About the role
COTegg Vietnam is an engineering team developing web systems and mobile apps for clients in Japan, using Flutter, Ruby on Rails and PHP. We use AI tools to improve efficiency and quality. As a small team, every engineer has a high level of ownership.
What you’ll do
- Develop mobile applications with Flutter
- Develop and maintain backend APIs with Ruby on Rails
- Take ownership across both mobile and backend development
- Build new features and improve existing ones
- Take part in application architecture and technical decisions
- Review code and improve code quality
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing workflows and development processes
- Use AI tools to work more efficiently
- Research and introduce new technologies and tools
- Support junior engineers
What we’re looking for
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of Flutter development experience
- 3+ years of server-side development, with hands-on Ruby on Rails
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Database design and SQL skills
- Experience developing and operating production applications
- Experience with Git-based team development
- Able to drive design, implementation and improvements independently
Nice to have
- PHP experience
- Experience with AWS, Docker or CI/CD
- Using AI tools in development (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Architecture design experience
- Experience working in small teams
